Teaching with mobile technology and training community on how to use technology.
School: Saron Primary School, Rustenburg, North West
  • As a FAL teacher, I have noticed that some learners in our school experience challenges with language expectations, in particular some of our learners lack the skill and knowledge on how  to  narrate a story confidently integrating with IT resources. In this regard, I am of the view that the project of this nature could intervene in addressing such challenges.
  • ICT enhances educational reforms by enabling teachers and learners to shift from traditional approach to integrated instructional  learning and teaching.
  • ICT promotes a shift from teacher-centred approach and memory-based learning to an inclusive integrated practice were learners work collaboratively, develop shared practices, develop creative thinking and problem-solving skills​

Learners will be using ICT to enhance their experience of mathematics and languages in a gamified way by  apps that will allow them to solve puzzles, sort shapes, learn about body parts and improve on their spelling.
